Re: Images for FluxBB: extendedMerlin Heat Test One
These images are from ParaView rendering of the status of extendedMerlin OpenFOAM model at 0.1 seconds into the first run with heaters turned on.
the heaters are activated to deliver 40 MW over a distance of 240 meters.
The model is designed to feed hydrogen at 300 Kelvin at a rate of 2 kg/s. the rate of flow ramps up slowly

Re: Images for FluxBB: Nine hour run snapshots
This run featured:
1) hydrogen filled model at 1 bar and 300 Kelvin at start
2) hydrogen input via ram to 2 kg/s at 2 seconds and run time of 3 seconds
3) outlet fixed at 1 bar so hydrogen above 1 bar escaped by below swirled in the engine compartment
The images here are taken about half way through the run... hydrogen is flowing through the nozzle
